As we all witnessed a dominating 34-13 performance by the national champion Michigan Wolverines on Monday, with head coach Jim Harbaugh potentially bolting Ann Arbor for the NFL, this will lead to three conspiracy theories heading to the Super Bowl.
As we endure these exciting times ahead, let’s explore a few interesting topics and make this next month fun leading to the big game in Las Vegas.
Conspiracy Theory #1. Lions defeat Browns in Super Bowl LVIII.
For the first time in what seems like our lifetime, the Detroit Lions finished as division champions.
They are certainly in prime position to make a deep playoff run with the NFC being as wide open as it is.
With Michigan winning the CFP national title, perhaps that gives the state of Michigan an unknown aura of what winning is.
If the Lions are able to duplicate the same energy that Michigan did, we can see a Lions-Browns Super Bowl with the Lions winning it.
With Detroit and Cleveland never making it to a Super Bowl, this will be one of the strangest matchups we’ve ever seen.
Michigan and Ohio on a national stage? Where have we seen that before? You don’t say.
Conspiracy Theory #2. John Harbaugh wins his second Super Bowl.
We saw what Jim did for Michigan this past season.
If you look at what older brother John is doing in Baltimore, that is nothing short of unbelievable.
QB Lamar Jackson making strides towards another MVP-type season as the Baltimore Ravens have the best regular season record in the National Football League.
As we approach the upcoming NFL Playoffs, there’s a ton of interesting storylines that we can look at.
If you look at the Super Bowl LVIII logo, it’s mainly dominated by the color purple, and that’s exactly what the Baltimore Ravens primary uniform colors are.
Baltimore ends up hosting Cleveland in the AFC Championship game as John and Joe will meet again.
John defeats Joe Flacco, and beats the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. The 49ers was the team that Jim was a head coach for in the National Football League, so this only fits the shoe like the slipper from Cinderella.
Conspiracy theory #3. The Pete Carroll effect.
As it stands right now, we know that Michigan is under fire for sign stealing. With something like this we are too far in the unknown to know what a potential outcome is of the investigation.
Jim Harbaugh is drawing major interest from multiple teams in the NFL. A very similar situation happened with Pete Carroll and USC after Carroll went to Seattle.
Looking back at what happened the 2004 season which included a BCS national title that would later be vacated due to violations against USC, while Carroll was the head coach.
If Jim ends up accepting an NFL job somewhere, does that mean Harbaugh knows something that we don’t? Is there unknown trouble in Ann Arbor?
At this point, who knows but this time next month can reveal a lot of things in the universe we call sports.
